CMN Children's Miracle Network is the charity for RE/MAX International.  At RE/MAX Northwest we participate in raising money for Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle thru CMN.

 

Every October we conduct the "RE/MAX CMN ANNUAL LIVE AND SILENT AUCTION".  After conducting small picnics, golf tournaments and small silent auctions and only raising about $3,000 to $5,000 per year, we decided to do one large event.  Thus our annual auction was started in 2003.  Our first year we raised $22,000. Last year we raised $55,000. Our goal this year is $75,000.

 

Another project exclusive to RE/MAX associates is the "MIRACLE HOME" Program. This programs allows associates to donate on behalf of each transaction to CMN.  We typically raise an additional $30,000 per year from our four offices that goes to CMN.

 

Our agents feel it is important to give back to our local community and the rewards are ten fold.  All of the funds raised by our organization go to "uncompensated care".

 

I have the pleasure of chairing the annual auction, arranging for a panel to answer telephones at the CMN Telethon, and am an active member of the Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center Corporate Leadership Board.

 

As a result of RE/MAX Northwest's continuing support, Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center has named a summer program in our group's name. $8000 of the money we donate each year is earmarked for a camp for youth known as "Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center Summer Program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth."

 

At RE/MAX we are proud of our commitment to the children in our community.

I had the opportunity to attend the CMN Annual Convention in Florida this spring. It was inspiring to see radio and television personalities come together and network on how we can improve our efforts in our support. I had the privilege of meeting LeVar Burton and sharing some of our fundraising efforts.
